I went to a pet expo this year too (the last year's visit), even though I hadn't planned to go there ^^;

Yksi kissa oli kuulemma päässyt tuomarin käsistä karkuun tuolla näyttelyssä.
Tuomari oli ollut juuri laittamassa kissaa takaisin häkkiinsä, kun papukaija oli rääkäissyt
hallissa ja kissa saanut siitä sätkyn. Tuomari joutui lähtemään lääkäriin tikattavaksi ja
kissaa oli jouduttu etsimään, mutta onneksi se oli lopulta löydetty myyntipöydän alta.

I heard one cat had escaped in the cat show when the judge was putting it back into it's cage.
In the same hall was the bird stand and some parrot had screeched, aaand~
of course the cat was frightened and scratched the judge and run away.
The judge had to go to the doctor, but luckily, the cat was found quickly under some table.

Musta oli jotenkin hassua, että broilerinkasvattajat olivat mainostamassa alaansa
näillä söpöillä nugeteilla. Ei mulla ainakaan ruokahalu näistä kasvanut :'D

Tämän vuoden messut olivat ihan mukavat, mutta kissojen puoli jätti taas ristiriitaiset tunteet.
Lähestulkoon kaikki persialaiset olivat kuin kotonaan häkeissään, mutta osa kissoista oli todella ahdistuneita ja selvästi kauhuissaan ison messuhallin hälinästä (varmaankaan normi kissanäyttelyissä
ei ole esim. niin paljoa kuulutuksia tai lapsien/papukaijojen kirkunaa tai koirien haukuntaa...).
Ja kun jotkut häkit olivat niin avonaisia, ettei kissoilla ollut sitten mitään näkösuojaa :(

This year's expo was nice, but I felt sorry for the cats who were really terrified in their cages because of all that noise. I guess in the normal cat shows there is less dog's barking and children's squealing...

Sohville ostin messutarjouksessa (40€) olleen Kivikis-pesän,
joka on siis käsityönä tehty, lampaanvillasta huovutettu kissanpesä.

Sohvi oli heti erittäin kiinnostunut pesästä. / Sohvi was very curious about the nest right away.
Ja nopeasti se uskalsi mennä ihan sisälle astikin ^^; / And she went inside quite quickly ^^;

Nykyään pesä on aina tässä asennossa, mitä vähän pelkäsinkin lukemieni kissablogien perusteella ^^;
Mutta pääasia, että kissa on tyytyväinen. Sohvi oikeesti nukkuu tossa koko ajan :'D

The technique is called wet felting and I've done it once when I was still in the school.
It's so cumbersome! We supposed to make hand puppets, but I lost
my hope quickly and that's why my puppet looks a bit off ^^;
