Peak's Woods boys/Kuvatarina - Varjosydämet, osa 2

Pitkästä aikaa jatkan jotain monista keskeneräisistä kuvatarinoistani, jee! :'3

Kuinka moni muistaa vampyyri Ariuksen ja hänen pikkusiskonsa Violan?

Viimeeksi Viola kertoi ajatuksiaan isoveljestään ja siitä, kuinka tämä on menettänyt siipensä.

Kuvasin tämän tarinan jo keväällä, mutta Ariuksen siipien toteutus tuotti hankaluuksia.

Lopulta vain piirsin ne kuviin... :')

Täältä (eli osa 1) löytyy edellinen tarinanpätkä Ariuksesta ja Violasta.
Nimesin toisen Peak's Woodsin poitsuistani, eli peikkopoikani, Kajoksi.
Kajo on peikko, joka vampyyrien tapaan sietää huonosti uv-säteilyä.

After a long time I continue one of my unfinished photostories, yay! :'3
Do you still remember vampire Arius and his little sister Viola?
Last time Viola told her thoughts about her brother and how he had lost his wings.
I photoshooted this story already in spring, but I had problems with Arius' wings.
In the end, I just drew them in the pictures... :')

I decided to call my other Peak's Woods boy, the troll boy, Kajo (means glow,
like morning light/the dawn in Finnish). Kajo is a troll and like vampires,
he can't tolerate the UV radiation. I told about his backstory here.

Yöeläjät olivat palanneet pesäluolaansa aamunkoittoa suojaan:

The night begins had returned to their nest cave to escape from the dawn:

Arius: "Hm?"

Viola: "Mitä nyt, isoveli?" / "What is it, big brother?"

Arius: "..."

Arius: "Odota täällä" / "Wait here"

Viola: "Mutta..." / "But..."

Viola: "...kohta on aamu..." / "...it's morning soon..."

"Mehän emme kestä päivänvaloa..." / "We can't handle the daylight..."

Vähän ajan päästä: / After a while:

*KOLINAA TAUSTALLA* / *CLATTER*

Viola: "Eh!?"

Viola: "I-isoveli! Kajo!?" / "B-big brother! Kajo!?"

Viola: "Mitä tapahtui!? Olitteko te ulkona, vaikka on aamu!?"

Viola: "What happened!? Were you outside even though it is morning!?"

Kajo: "Tämä on syytäni. Isoveljesi tuli auttamaan minua..."

Kajo: "This is my fault. Your brother came to help me..."

Kajo: "Uuh... Ei tästä taida tullakaan mitään..."

Kajo: "Uuh... this sure isn't looking too good..."

Kajo: "Auringon valoa on jo liikaa. En pysty enää liikkumaan. Tämä on loppuni"

Kajo: "There's too much sunlight already. I can't move anymore. This is my end."

*taustalta kuuluu huuto* "Kajo!!!" / *Shout from somewhere* "Kajo!!!"

Kajo: *hämmästyy* / *is surprised*

Kajo: (Arius?)

*SHAH*

Kajo: "En ymmärrä, mistä hän siihen tupsahti yllättäen..."

Kajo: "I don't understand where he came from to there so suddenly..."

Kajo: "Hän käytti koko matkan siipiään suojatakseen minua auringolta"

Kajo: "He used his wings to protect me from the sunlight all the way here"

Kajo: "Mitä ihmettä oikein ajattelit? Tulla nyt yhtä peikkoa hakemaan, vaikka aurinko jo nousi..."

Kajo: "What were you thinking? Why did you come, only for the sake of some troll..."

Isoveljeni siivet paloivat pahoin päivänvalon takia...

Viikon kuluttua ne alkoivat mätimään.

After one week, they started to suppurate.

Lopulta ei ollut muuta vaihtoehtoa kuin poistaa ne...

In the end, there was no choice but to remove them...

Kotimetsämme kallionhaltia Korpikuu teki kivuttomuus loitsun ja suoritti poiston...

Korpikuu, the rock elf of our home forest made the painlessness spell and carried out the removal...

 ...ja niin isoveljeni menetti siipensä.

Taustamusiikista pakko sanoa, että kyseinen kappale on kummitellut päässäni pitkään ja
siksi halusin käyttää sen nyt tähän tarinan pätkään. Michael Nyman on kyllä jotenkin
niin taianomainen säveltäjä! The Departure on scifi-leffa Gattacan soundtrackilta. Leffa
on kuulemma katsomisen arvoinen. Itse en ole leffaa vielä nähnyt, mikä on vähän
hassua, kun olen kuitenkin fiilistellyt sen musaa jo 7 vuotta :') Michael Nymanin mahtavuuden tajusin aikoinaan, kun näin The Piano-elokuvan. Nyman on säveltänyt kyseisen leffan soundtrackin.

The Departure is from the movie Gattaca. I haven't seen it yet, but it should be good.

Kummitustyttö Eliisia / Ghost girl Eliisia

Viime sunnuntaina oli sopivan syksyisen harmaa sää mennä kuvailemaan Eliisiaa, liekkiötäni.

(Liekkiö = suomalaisessa mytologiassa tapaturmaisesti tai väkivaltaisesti kuolleen
lapsen aave, joka häiriköi metsässä kulkijoita itkullaan. Ei kuitenkaan ole pahantahtoinen.)

The weather on last Sunday was perfectly gloomy for photoshoot Eliisia, my liekkiö.
(Liekkiö, "flamey"= a ghost of a child who has died accidental or
violently in Finnish mythology. Liekkiö lives in the forest where she
might make crying noises. They mean no harm, though.)

Tilasin Rosyni firman meikillä, ostin mukaan default-peruukin ja silmät sekä kengät.

I ordered my Rosy with the default face-up, I bought also the default wig and shoes.

Nyrkkikädet ostin myös. Yhdet käsiparin sai ekstrana (kuten myös nuo silmät).

Asun ostin Etsystä, LenivkaShopista, josta olin aikaisemminkin ostanut yhden asusetin.

Eliisia on hänen nimensä ^^ / Eliisia is her name ^^

Eliisia on liekkiö, joka siis on suomalaisen mytologian mukaan tapaturmaisesti tai väkivaltaisesti kuolleen lapsen kummitus, jonka kotina toimii metsä. Liekkiöt eivät ole pahantahtoisia, mutta häiritsevät metsässä kulkijoita ulisemalla tai itkemällä. Näin tekee myös Eliisia, koska hän purkuu sillä tavoin turhautumistaan. Eliisia on ollut kummituksena 40-luvulta lähtien. Eläessään hän oli hyvätuloisen perheen kuopus. Eliisia kuitenkin eksyi eräänä talvipäivänä metsään, eikä häntä koskaan löydetty. Oletetaan, että Eliisia jäätyi kuoliaaksi, sillä tuona yönä pakkanen laski -24 asteeseen.

On sanottu, että liekkiöt näyttävät liekinkaltaisilta, kuin virvatulelta.

Halusin pukea Eliisan punaiseen kuvastamaan tätä liekki-ominaisuutta.

Eliisia is a "liekkiö" ("flamey") what is a ghost of a child who has died accidental or violently

in Finnish mythology. Liekkiö lives in the forest where she might make crying noises. They mean

no harm, though. Eliisia cries too. That's how she let her frustration come out. Eliisia has been

a ghost since the 40s. While she was still alive she was a youngest child of a family with

a good income. But some winter day she got lost in the forest and Eliisia was never found.

They assume the girl froze to death, because at that night the temperature decreased to -24 Celsius.

It has been told that liekkiös might be seen as a flame, like will-o'-the-wisp.

I wanted to dress Eliisia in red because I wanted to reflect that flame feature.

"Odotan sinua metsässä, polun haarassa..." / "I'm waiting for you in the forest, at the branch of the path"
